This posting is one of both Just Thinking and Travel. It deals with a major transition that I went through professionally based upon my particular path of motivation and the location that was clearly instrumental in that transition. I was on a flight one morning several years ago heading north and sitting at a window in first class on the right side. I look out the window and saw something very similar to this picture. However, unlike in this picture, the plane was positioned more to the left with the first class section directly in the center of the rainbow. Hmmmmmmmm! Two thoughts: 1. Why a circular rainbow?, and 2. Why was my seat in the center?
Clearly, mathematics is a science. However, that is only for those who have the tools, time, and Actual Requirement to reach a definitive answer, e.g., landing a rover on the moon.
I drink a great amount of wine. And what I drink is normally quite good for my palette,but normally not expensive. Some may consider me to be a wine snob, but I don’t think so.
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh and Dad was a steelworker. With 2 older brothers having already been through college, the money was tight for me to attend. While I got accepted at Carnegie Tech, now Carnegie Mellon, there was no way to make it through in 4 years financially.
When writing this piece several months prior to the November 2020 elections, a Republican U.S. Senator was interviewed by CNN as to why he is not only against Trump, but also openingly stating that he will vote for Biden. When questioned further, he stated that the outrageous acts of Trump and his administration were actually working against the conservative principles of the GOP.
